ERPNext implementation, planned before it is configured
ERPNext is capable and cheap to license, which is exactly why it gets rolled out badly. The platform is not the hard part. The process map, the master data and the interfaces are.
Modules switched on before anyone maps the process they are meant to serve.
Customisation in place of configuration, so every upgrade becomes a project.
Master data migrated as-is, carrying every duplicate and dead item code.
Interfaces left until the end, then built by hand under cutover pressure.
Core configuration
Chart of accounts, company structure, tax, approval limits and role permissions, set from your process map.
Manufacturing
Bills of material, routings, work orders and material planning that respect real capacity and real lead times.
Stock and warehouse
Valuation method, multi-warehouse balances, batch and serial handling, and cycle counting as routine work.
Interfaces and apps
Custom Frappe apps only where configuration genuinely cannot reach, with APIs, retries and monitoring around them.
When ERPNext is the wrong answer
We would rather say so on the first call than eighteen months in.
Very high transaction volume
If you are processing at a scale where the framework becomes the constraint, a tier-one platform is the honest recommendation and we will say so.
Deep industry compliance
Some regulated environments need validated, vendor-supported functionality that an open platform will not certify for you.
A group standard already exists
If your parent company mandates a platform, the work is integration and rollout, not a platform decision.
Nobody owns it internally
ERPNext lowers the licence cost, not the ownership cost. Without an internal owner it will drift, whatever we build.
Do you customise ERPNext or configure it?
Configure first, always. Custom Frappe apps only where a genuine gap exists, kept separate from core so upgrades stay routine, and documented so another team could maintain them.
Can you migrate us from Tally or a legacy ERP?
Yes, and that has its own page. Masters first, then balances, then open transactions, with dry runs until finance and the warehouse agree on the same numbers.
Who hosts it?
Your choice. Frappe Cloud, your own cloud account or on-premise. We will lay out the trade-offs on cost, control and upgrade effort rather than pick for you.
What happens if we outgrow it?
The integration layer is built as its own component precisely so a platform underneath can be replaced without rebuilding the operation around it.
Do you resell licences?
No. We have no reseller margin in any recommendation we make, which is the point.
This page names a platform because that is what people search for. The capability pages describe the work itself, platform-independently.

The decisions that determine whether a rollout lands, most of which come before anyone configures anything. Readable in full, no email required.
